July is the first full month of summer and is abundant with food-centric celebrations. We will celebrate National blueberry, grilling, and picnic month along with Independence Day on the 4th.
These food and foody activities seem to be more consumer oriented so, how do foodservice operators take advantage of the dog days?
It’s hot outside! Patrons looking for a cool respite from heat and humidity can be surprisingly rewarded at the bar with fruity drinks stuffed with fresh herbs. And, since Harvest Sensations is a direct importer of Sensationally Fresh® Herbs from global growers, we know a thing or two about ‘setting the bar’ with fresh herbs for hand-crafted cocktails.
Summer salads and easy-light sides are on order, literally. Imagine coming in to a cool restaurant and snacking on this colorful and flavorful bruschetta with fresh baby heirloom tomatoes, fresh mint and savory kalamata olives on crunchy, salty baguette slices…and a mojito. The only thing we’d order on the side would be a plate of burrata or freshly made ricotta cheese.

Have a fun foody month!
