Wholesale Edible Orchids

Edible orchids are the most recognizable garnish in fine dining and the one guests photograph most. Dendrobium orchids in particular hold their shape and color longer than almost any other edible flower, which is why pastry departments and cocktail programs standardized on them.

Grown for Culinary Use

The orchids we distribute are produced specifically for culinary use and move through a food supply chain from grower to kitchen. Decorative flowers sold through florists and garden centers are grown to different standards and are not intended for food, so they are not an alternative when supply is tight.

Colors

Mixed, purple and blue are the standard offerings. Purple is the highest-volume item; blue reads strongest against pale desserts and in clear cocktails; mixed packs suit kitchens that want variation without carrying multiple SKUs.

Flavor

Orchids are essentially neutral, with a faint crisp, slightly green note. That is a feature rather than a limitation — the flower is doing visual work and is not meant to interfere with the dish it sits on.

Handling and Storage

Keep the clamshell closed and hold at 38–40°F, away from the evaporator fan and away from anything with weight on top. Condensation and compression are what shorten the life of edible flowers, not time alone. Expect three to five days of usable life. Handle with tweezers rather than fingers; the petals bruise from skin oil and pressure.

Where They Are Used

Plated desserts, cakes and wedding work, cocktails, ice cubes, cheese boards and canapés. In beverage programs they are frozen into clear ice or floated as a signature garnish.
