Wholesale Edible Flowers and Microgreens
Edible flowers and microgreens are the last thing to touch a plate and the first thing a guest photographs. They are also the most perishable items we ship, which is why they move on their own handling protocol rather than riding along with heavier produce.
Harvest Sensations supplies fine-dining kitchens, hotels, cocktail programs, pastry departments and premium retail with edible flowers and micro mixes out of Miami and Los Angeles, with nationwide air and expedited ground service for markets we do not deliver to directly.
What We Carry
- Edible Orchids — mixed, purple and blue, the standard for plated desserts and cocktails.
- Squash Blossoms — large, open blossoms for stuffing and frying.
- Microgreens — rainbow mix, intensity mix, micro cilantro, micro mint and hearts-on-fire.
Pansies and mixed combo flower packs round out the range through the main season.
Handling: The Part Most Kitchens Get Wrong
Edible flowers die from three things — condensation, compression and cold air blowing directly on them. Keep the clamshell closed, store at 38–40°F away from the evaporator fan, and never stack anything on top. Microgreens want the same treatment plus a dry cut: harvesting or portioning them wet halves their life.
Plan on two to four days of usable life for flowers and five to seven for most micro mixes. Order to a real par rather than a comfortable one; this is a category where over-ordering is pure loss.
Are Edible Flowers Actually Edible?
The ones we sell are grown specifically for consumption, without the ornamental-crop pesticide programs used on florist flowers. That distinction matters and it is not cosmetic: flowers from a florist or a garden center should never be put on a plate. If a flower is going on food, it has to come through a food supply chain.
